Cement heads...

Japan To Deal With Radioactive Sewage By Using It To Produce Cement

Japan approves the use of highly radioactive sewage sludge to produce cement in an attempt to deal with the radioactive sewage crisis.
As dangerous levels of radiation from the Fukushima nuclear power plant continue to concentrate in sewage treatment facilities all over Japan, officials are left with a crisis on their hands with no plan to deal with it.

In fact, high levels of radiation have been detected in 19 out of 20 sewage plants tests at distances up to 65 kilometers from Fukushima.

The Japanese federal government has given the green light to dispose of some of the sewage sludge by burning it at local incinerators. That decision has left a cloud of radioactive nuclear ash raining down on Tokyo and by no means is a solution to the problem facing Japan.

We learn today that to rid the country of the radioactive sewage problem Japanese official have given the green light to use the radioactive waste to produce cement.
