By the way, do you remember that nuclear disaster that is still ongoing?

Japan: Compared To Radiation Dumped Into Pacific Ocean Today’s Release Of Half Billion Becquerels Is Nothing

Japan downplays release of 500 million becquerels of nuclear radiation by saying it is nothing compared to the amount radioactive material that has already been dumped into the Pacific Ocean by TEPCO from the Fukushima nuclear plant.

Today TEPCO was forced to release 500 million becquerels of nuclear radiation from the Fukushima nuclear reactor into the environment at the Fukushima nuclear reactor to lower the radiation levels inside the plant. In recent days, levels of radiation have been measured high as 700 millisieverts per hour which would be deadly to workers in just a few hours. over the course of the last few days.

Japan downplayed the massive release nuclear radiation into the environment by saying the levels are only a small fraction of the amount TEPCO has already to dumped into the Pacific Ocean. Almost undoubtedly American corporate news will try to spin the release of radiation from by running another headline saying the levels in reactor 1 have dropped once again. That is, of course, if once the radioactive dust settles the levels inside reactor 1 do actually drop....

Unfortunately, as bad as this news is it may only be a prelude to a massive mega disaster that is unfolding as we speak. The structural integrity of reactor #4 has been brought into question as Japanese officials reported the skeletal remains that are still standing of the building is now reportedly leaning. A video clip from Russia Today yesterday warned that experts are starting to the worry that the entire nuclear reactor may collapse completely, which would be a truly horrific development because the spent fuel rods from over 4 different nuclear reactors inside the building spent fuel pool would end up scattered all over the ground. As we all know by this point, the rods need to remain fully submerged in constantly cooled water and nuclear fission followed by a full blown meltdown will occur.

EX-SKF also informs us that Japan’s top “mainstream scientist” has released a study show that just that — nuclear fission, recriticality, or whatever other flavor of the day the corporate news would like use, I prefer the term nuclear meltdown, has occurred inside of both Fukushima reactor 2 and reactor 4.

Obviously, to those of us who have been following the astute analysis from Arnie Gundersen here in the US and from Michio Ishikawa in Japan news of ongoing criticality really isn’t new news at all. Both of those nuclear experts have given far worse assessments than the one coming out from Tetsuo Matsui from the University of Tokyo today. However, the significance of this development is this study has been conducted by the top mainstream nuclear expert in Japan which means that Japan and TEPCO will soon follow in admitting to ongoing nuclear meltdown at the Fuksuhima nuclear power plant as described in the study.
