Random Thoughts (Fourteen)
I haven't felt the need to bore you with my take on things recently. I've put a few comments in the posts I've been putting up and I'm just plain lazy I guess. Copy and paste is so much easier than actually using your own mind and putting something down that anyone would bother to read and get something out of. So far, this morning, as I type this, it appears to be a slow news day on the internet. The folks who run the sites I usually find the articles I post here, must be sleeping in late this overcast Sunday. I don't blame them. Thus, the need to make some shit up to meet my personal quota of providing at least 10-15 new things to read each day here at the blog no one reads.
I posted a link to the movie "Inside Job" here yesterday. If you feel a need to understand how our country has been lead down the path of economic destruction, be sure to give yourself a hour and a half to watch it. You won't be disappointed.
These bankster elitists keep making the same shitty decisions over and over again even though they realize they are bringing the system down. Folks, that is the plan. Those that brought you the collapse will be coming forward with the solution to the disaster they are responsible for. The talk of a unifying world currency and a central world governing body is even making the corporate controlled media news shows and newspapers. The sovereignty of the United States and the Constitution are in their death throes. The Wall Street government has almost finished it's job of killing the people's government and the people are going down without a whimper. Yeah, there are protests in Wisconsin and Ohio, but the bulk of the people who get their information from FOX NEWS and the other bullshit TV news programs, are falling for the propaganda that those unionized workers are bringing the system down. The tactic of divide and conquer is alive and well in America today.
Recently, I finished reading a great book about American Imperialism at the turn of the 20th Century called "The Imperial Cruise" by "Flags Of Our Fathers" author, James Bradley. If you thought Hitler was the only person who believed in the myth of the Aryan race being destined to rule the world, you have another thing coming.
One of my favorite presidents, good old Teddy Roosevelt, would probably have gladly written the forward to "Mein Kampf" if he was asked and if he was alive at the time of its' publication. The deaths of hundreds of thousands of Filipinos, Hawaiians, Chinese and Koreans documented in this book, will give proof to that notion. Being a US History teacher for more than 30 years, reading this book has changed my whole perception of TR and Taft and American foreign policy. America's crimes were later used as the justification by Hitler to implement his own form of genocide some 30 years later. I think all US History textbooks need a rewrite after what I learned here.
Well, that should hold you until the next time I have an original thought. Peace.
