Controversial climate scientists Dr James Hansen, currently at the center of a storm regarding comments he made praising the communist Chinese dictatorship, has made another startling prediction at a public library in Westport, Connecticut.
Speaking to an audience of around 200 people, Dr Hansen warned that the North Pole will shortly be ice-free, thanks to global warming. As the Westport Patch reports:
Hansen went on with frightening statistics: carbon emissions to the atmosphere have increased 2.5 percent over the past decade, a time of heightened awareness. “We will lose all the ice in the polar ice cap in a couple of decades,” he said, predicting the impact from rising sea levels will devastate coastal communities worldwide.
Dr Hansen didn’t cite any peer-reviewed studies in support of this assertion, and only took questions from children, saying: “I want to hear questions from the young, not the old”.

Couldn't agree with you more. They actually want to tax our carbon footprint, make millions on carbon credit trading, destroy the wealthy countries economies and implement a global government through the mechanism of global climate agreements.
