U.S. Military On 18 Hour Alert For Domestic Deployment?
As of Thursday, the U.S. military has been put on alert status “Domestic Standby”. Andrew (YouTuber – SmokinJoeTrainer) released a video Saturday September 25, 2010 stating that the 82nd Airborn Division has been mobilized for the Dept. of Homeland Security.
Andrew described the soldiers that leaked the orders for the 18 hour rotating standby as unhappy and even mad about the orders and potential scenarios outlined in the briefings.
Each battalion of the 82nd Airborn will be on rotation, as reported by Andrew. A Special Forces Ranger from Hunter Army airfield was noted saying that they were trained on QRF (Quick Reaction Force) details as well as other topics in the briefings which included “plans for rounding up civilians, the potential issuance of less lethal equipment, the use of the LRAD”.
Apparently a new rules of engagement was issued and included: “Don’t detain someone unless you feel threatened or they are pointing a gun”
It was also suggested to some that they get their “Bug-out Bags” ready by the end of the weekend. This raised concern with a few in the group as well as the fact that the higher-ups did not even know the details of what is to come. They were told that they would be filled in on the details this coming Tuesday.
The quickly moving information through the ranks suggests that this event might be more immanent than just a drill, or training session.
