Yeah, I have had my heroes in such historical figures as JFK, Abe Lincoln, FDR, RFK, MLK, as well as John Lennon and Neil Young for that matter. But I have a new one now. Her name is Susan Lindauer. Who's she, you might ask? She is the first American citizen to be charged with crimes that violated the Patriot Act. She was falsely accused of being an Iraqi agent by the Bush Administration after they realized that she had information that would blow their phony war against terror and their reasons for the invasion of Iraq out of the water. She had to be silenced so they could propagate their wars and rape America of it's wealth through their ever expanding military and security state. Not only that, but she also had provided warnings of the 9/11 attacks to top Bush administration officials throughout the spring and summer of 2001 which went unheeded. She knew too much had to be silenced.
You see, Lindauer was a US Intelligence Asset from 1993-2002 working behind the scenes negotiating with Libya and Iraq as a back channel in the fight against terrorism. She had negotiated deals with Iraq, in the name of the United States, to allow unrestricted weapons inspections of that country and successfully gained Iraq's cooperation in supplying the United States with important information about terrorists, all prior to the US invasion of Iraq. Her hard work was deliberately ignored by the Bush Administration despite knowledge of her successes. They would falsely claim to the American people that Iraq refused to cooperate on those very same matters thus making war the only option left for America.
When she started to make her efforts known publicly, she was arrested and charged with being an Iraqi agent, according to the Patriot Act, and imprisoned without a trial and threatened with forced psychotropic drug injections at Carswell Prison inside a Texas military base, to physically and mentally incapacitate her so she could not expose the government's lies and deceit which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's and thousands of American soldiers. Her story, as told in her recent book "Extreme Prejudice", should send shivers down the spine of every American citizen who believes in the Constitution and the liberties and freedoms it protects. It should also be a wake up call for those who are not aware of how the Patriot Act has destroyed those very rights of due process and trial by jury that we all take for granted. You would think you were reading an account of political persecution in the Soviet Union when you read her harrowing tale.
To put it in focus, Susan Lindauer is a true American patriot whose story needs to be read by everyone who is concerned with the current state of affairs in this country. As a history teacher, she will now become part of my lessons whenever I discuss the threats to liberty and the meaning of due process in my Government classes. She will also now take a place right next to Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King whenever we have a discussion about fighting for rights and freedoms in my United States History classes. She will also be included in any discussion about self sacrifice, courage and perseverance for the benefit of the American people, whenever I discuss those who have given their lives on America's many battlefields.
She is truly an American hero whose story needs to be included in our class discussions and in our history books. I know she will be in mine.

Great story, read her book. It is amazing that the government you think is on your side for freedom and truth and the American way is all but that. Susan's story makes you wonder WHO really is the evil axis lords. Also this tells the tale of how the Patriot act is anything but Patriotic.
