Where was all this protection on Nov.22?

Click image to get a larger version. This montage was put together by Vince Palamara a JFK researcher who has focused on the Secret Service's role in the assassination.
The handwritten note to Vince seen in one of the photos is from a SS Agent who said JFK never ordered the SS off the bumpers and that they rode on them the whole trip. The cover story is that JFK did not want the SS near the car so he could be closer to the people. Palamara found that was not true after interviewing several agents who had protected Kennedy during his motorcades.

THE SECRET SERVICE
INTERVIEWS

When I asked Art if it was true, according to “official” history,
President Kennedy had ever ordered the agents around, including
having them dismount the rear portions of the limousine, Godfrey
told me on two occasions : “That’s a bunch of baloney; that's not
true. He never ordered us to do anything. He was a very nice
man...cooperative.” Asked if Aide Ken O’Donnell did any similar
ordering, Art said emphatically that “he did not order anyone
around.”
