UPDATED WARNING: Rand Paul is a Neocon...

OMG Rand Paul Warns Putin

Robert Wenzel

John McCain, Jennifer Rubin and Bill Kristol are going to like this. Rand is becoming more of a neocon with every passing day. The Daily Caller reports:

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul warned Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday over the occupation of southern Ukraine, with the libertarian-leaning Republican claiming that “if he’s going to act like a rogue nation, he will be isolated.”

Paul spoke to Fox News’ Greta van Susteren at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where he delivered a speech on Friday. “What will you do about Putin and Ukraine?” the reporter asked the prospective 2016 presidential candidate.

Often criticized by right-wing hawks for his push to limit American involvement overseas Paul’s response indicated a willingness to articulate clear consequences to aggression without resorting to military confrontation. “We have to tell him that his behavior is unacceptable. He needs to be isolated,” the senator said. “And if he’s going to act like a rogue nation, he will be isolated.

The video is here. See for yourself, he is talking the full neocon playbook on Ukraine.

MORE PROOF???

Rand Paul: My Foreign Policy Is In Line with George Bush the First

Robert Wenzel

Rand Paul appeared on FOX News this morning and said:

I see my foreign policy in the same line as what came out of probably the first George Bush... I see it coming out of mainstream of the Republican position.

Rand has either forgotten that GW, the first, invaded Panama and Iraq or he has gone total neocon. Anyone who has not seen the documentary The Panama Deception should do so, to understand the horrific nature of the U.S. invasion of Panama.

EVEN MORE:

OMG From WaPo: "Rand Paul is the star and lighthouse of the libertarian movement"

Robert Wenzel

The Mitch McConnell-endorsing, pro-unemployment benefit extension, fan of George H.W. Bush invasions of Panama and Iraq senator is what WaPo considers the star of the libertarian movement:

Rand Paul is the star and lighthouse of the libertarian movement as evidenced by his success at the past few CPACs, success he seems to have inherited from his father.
Let's make it clear. Rand's father has not endorsed Mitch McConnell (He has endorsed Murray Sabrin). Rand's father has never called for the extension of unemployment benefits for any reason, and he certainly did not support George Bush military adventures of the United States empire.

I don't know about a DNA test, but Rand sure doesn't pass the Ron Paul libertarian philosophy test.
