“I would rather own silver than gold..."

Jim Rogers: I Would Rather Own Silver Than Gold

Silver is becoming a better investment than the one of the hottest commodities of the past few years, gold, says investment guru Jim Rogers.

Rogers, a commodities champion, says silver prices have more room to grow than do gold prices.

“I would rather own silver than gold," Rogers tells India's ET Now.

“Silver is still 40 percent below its all-time high. So silver has not been any sort of great bubble compared to perhaps some other assets we know."

Other commodities make for good investments as well, including agriculture.

“Likewise for the rice, if rice goes down, I will buy more rice. So both the silver and rice have a great future for the next few years,” Rogers says.

Precious metals tend to rally when the world's reserve currency, the dollar, weakens.

The U.S. Federal Reserve has been printing money in an effort to spur economic recovery, sending the value of the greenback down in the process.

While the dollar has erased some losses in recent trading, concerns over expansionary monetary policy on top of deficit spending in Washington are fueling inflationary fears, which has investors rosy on the outlook for precious metals, gold especially.

And that is why they are trying to take that right away from you...

If given a fair choice, most consumers would choose alternative medicine over conventional health care

As a strong proponent of free market economics, I have long wondered why free markets don't seem to be operating in the health care industry. Today, it finally hit me with great clarity, and I'll share that with you here. But first, a primer on free market economics:

As the free market theory says, "greed is good" because innovators can only get rich by figuring out how to deliver more goods, services and life improvements to consumers who purchase those items. The genius who figures out how to build a better car -- or a less expensive car of the same quality -- earns the business of consumers and is financially rewarded as a result. Greed drives innovation, the theory goes, and innovation benefits consumers even as it fills the pockets of corporate CEOs, too.

This model works under one critical assumption, and it turns out that assumption is not true in health care today (for reasons you'll see below). Which assumption is it? That consumers will rationally purchase only those things that are in their own self interest (things that benefit them) and, equally importantly, that consumers have access to the information they need to make an informed decision.

So, for example, if a solar panel manufacturer figures out a way to make a new line of solar panels with twice the current efficiency at the same cost as current solar panels, consumers will rationally choose to purchase those solar panels and will experience a benefit as a result (but only if they have access to accurate information about the improved performance of those solar panels). The CEO who runs the company that figured out how to make the new, improved solar panels will also reap the financial rewards at the same time.

This is called free market theory in a nutshell.

How it all fell apart in health care
But all this falls apart when corporations are selling products that harm consumers under an irrational system protected by government intervention. Many pharmaceuticals, vaccines and treatment services (such as chemotherapy) actually harm consumers far more than they help them. Knowing this, no rational consumer would choose to purchase such products. So the health care system must engage in some rather devious marketing distortions to cajole people into buying their faulty products:

#1) People are TRICKED into thinking they need these products that harm them. This is accomplished through disease mongering (pushing fabricated diseases such as ADHD), emotional advertising and bribing physicians in order to influence their drug prescribing behavior.

#2) People are LIED TO about the risks of using such products. Drug companies, in particular, routinely lie to consumers by burying negative clinical trials, bribing researchers to produce positive study results, exaggerating claimed benefits in television advertisements and other similar methods.

#3) People are ISOLATED from information they need to know in order to make a rational decision about conventional medicine's products. They are not allowed to know the truth about the dangers of drugs as revealed in clinical trials, for example. The FDA even conspires with drug companies to hide this relevant data.

#4) People are FORCED into a monopolistic choice by the government outlawing alternative choices such as natural cancer remedies or certain nutritional supplements. Once again, the FDA plays a key role in discrediting natural alternatives. The health insurance industry also enforces this monopolistic approach by covering conventional sick-care therapies (such as heart bypass surgery) while not covering natural therapies that help prevent degenerative disease.

#5) People are KEPT IGNORANT of the actual costs of health care through Medicare, Medicaid and health insurance coverage. Consumers have no idea what they're being billed for most medical procedures because they're not footing the bill! So hospitals, clinics and cancer centers bill whatever amount they can get away with.

'Disorientated and wearing just one shoe': Bizarre last sighting of top White House aide found murdered and dumped in landfill

Victim seen in car park booth looking disorientated
Smoke bomb found under home of one of his neighbours
Police pull up floorboards of victim's home
Detectives also search his Manhattan home
Revealed: Wife's sister was stabbed to death in 1995

The top Pentagon aide found dead at a landfill site was seen in a confused state 48 hours before his death wandering around the wrong car park and wearing only one shoe.

John Wheeler was ‘disorientated’ and not wearing a coat despite the freezing temperature, according to the car park attendant in Wilmington, Delaware.

Asked if he felt OK, the 66-year-old simply responded: ‘No’.

The following day he was also seen wandering around the town in the last sighting before his body was discovered dumped at the tip.
Police are now desperately trying to piece together what happened during the crucial 48 hours before his death in a mysterious case that has left them unable to even find the crime scene.
But it now appears their attentions appear could be turning towards a possible link to a property row after it emerged that a smoke bomb was found under one of his neighbours’ homes.
The location at which Mr Wheeler was last seen is also about six blocks from the office of the lawyer representing him and his wife in their legal battle against the same neighbour whose plans to develop their house will supposedly block their view.
The body of Mr Wheeler, a former Army officer who was instrumental in building the iconic Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Washington...

40,000 'devil' crabs wash up on Kent coast after dying from hypothermia in freezing sea

Thousands of dead crabs have washed up along the Kent coast, with environmental experts believing the cold weather in Britain is to blame.

The Velvet swimming crabs - also called devil crabs - are thought to be victims of Britain's coldest December in 120 years, which left sea temperatures much lower than average.

More than 40,000 of the crabs - Britain's largest swimming crab - are littering beaches around Thanet, along with smaller numbers of whelks, sponges and anemones.

"His job is to further enrich the elitists who own the Fed and want to create a new world order."

America's "Money Time Bomb": Quantitative Easing is Inflationary
by Bob Chapman

With Ben Bernanke as our Shepard how can we go wrong? He tells us quantitative easing is not inflationary. He says that with assurance because he knows all the CPI statistics are as realistic as a Madoff Ponzi scheme. He also tells us he doesn’t create money out of thin air. He fails to mention that he does so digitally. His job is to further enrich the elitists who own the Fed and want to create a new world order. Prices are up 6-3/4% across the board as official inflation has only risen 1.2%.

Unfortunately, the public does not understand, but they will in time, because a great awakening is taking place. We have made more people understand what is going on in just the past five years, than we did in the previous 50 years. People know something is terribly wrong and their minds are open to the truth. That is something the elitists and their media do not understand.

Yes, there is gullibility among the public as to how finance and economics and monetary policy works, and there should be. Most university graduates don’t know how they work either, nor do they really know what psychological warfare and propaganda are all about. The average American doesn’t know what QE2 is nor have they heard of it. If they had they probably could not connect the Fed’s QE2 with the higher inflation they are currently experiencing. That is not their job that is my job and others like me. Even that in fact tends to be confusing because few analysts and economists agree on anything. Needless to say, much of what is happening is going to be devastating in time. Part of the problem is ignorance and part is denial. People do not want to admit they have been deceived, especially by the leadership of their own country. It is akin to lies and deception by a member of your own family or a long-time friend. Today the world changes very rapidly and so do people and governments. Most people do not or have ever studied history much less economic and monetary history. As you can see there is a major dilemma and there are no quick solutions in the discovery process. That is why education via talk radio and the Internet is a slow process.

Over the past six months MZM money supply has zoomed, up some $475 billion. That, of course, has been accompanied by QE2. Conservatively these two are a one-two money bomb that will explode within the US economy. Yes, it will lift the boats, but the inflationary fallout will be painful in lost purchasing power. It will tend to force up interest rates, an area that is difficult for the Fed to control. During this process the US government has to have major funding, as does European countries, especially in the first quarter. Interest rates will rise and corporate borrowing will be crowded out. That also means European buying of US bonds will slow to a trickle and the ECB, European governments and the Fed will be large buyers of multi-government bond. That means major monetization to go along with increasing MZM. Anyone who cannot envision double-digit inflation is missing the boat. Do governments really think that they can get away with their outrageous lies regarding real inflation? We don’t think so. It is and has been so transparently blatant that even Wall Street in part is questioning official CPI, PPI and employment numbers. What is also very discomforting is that employment will only improve marginally, because of the QE and stimulus 2/3’s os aimed at the financial sector. We hear Wall Street and banking tell us over and over again, give us what we want and need or we will take the financial system down. Well, we have news for them. Go right ahead and do that, because they and we know it’s coming down anyway sooner or later. If they do that deliberately it will be very obvious to all and they will pay a horrible permanent price. Hank Paulson may have gotten away with it once, but it won’t happen again. We know how these people think because we have spent more than 50 years among them. All they care about is money, power and world government. If you can understand that they are just common criminals then you know how to deal with them. Just look at the ongoing scandals one after another aided and abetted by the SEC and CFTC and the legions of lawsuits and fines that do not stop their criminal activities. They can neither admit nor deny, they pay a fine and the next day go out and do it again. Very few ever go to jail. Their biggest sin is getting caught in their criminal endeavors.

Most professionals do not understand what is underway and where this is all headed. They only see a positive affect on the stock market. They do not understand that this avalanche of liquidity will also give us 14% inflation this year, damage the dollar and strengthen gold as the only real money. The Fed has abandoned its legal responsibilities to maintain strong employment and to fight inflation. The Fed is in a panic mode struggling to save the financial sector, which is not what its main mission is. It is not supposed to be bailing out the players who caused the problems. They should not be rewarding the malefactors, some of whom own the Fed. This is nothing less than financial incest. Any tightening of monetary policy or strongly higher interest rates could bring the whole creaking edifice crashing down. That leaves the Fed only one course and they have taken that course already, create money and credit until they cannot anymore. This is where this is all headed.

Leaked document: EPA knowingly approved bee-killing pesticide

A Colorado beekeeper recently obtained a leaked document revealing that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) knows a popular crop pesticide is killing off honey bees, but has allowed its continued approval anyway. Despite opposition from its own scientists, EPA officials first gave the a-okay to Bayer CropScience's toxic pesticide clothianidin in 1993 based on the company's own flawed safety studies. But now it has been revealed that the EPA knew all along about the dangers of clothianidin and decided to just ignore them.

By now, most people know that honeybees are dying off at an incredibly disturbing rate. Colony collapse disorder (CCD), a condition where bees stray from the hive and never find their way back, is nixing millions of nature's pollinators every year. Previous studies have pinpointed various environmental toxins as the primary culprits, including toxic pesticides like clothianidin (http://www.naturalnews.com/028429_c...).

And the leaked document, which was written by the EPA's Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, explains clearly that "[c]lothianidin's major risk concern is to nontarget insects (honey bees)" and that "[a]cute toxicity studies to honey bees show that clothianidin is highly toxic on both a contact and an oral basis." The letter was in response to a request from Bayer to have clothianidin approval expanded for use on cotton and mustard in addition to its other approved uses.

So if clothianidin poses a significant threat against honey bees, and the EPA has known about this all along, why was it ever approved in the first place? And if Bayer's original safety studies have been shown to be contradictory to actual science, why has the EPA failed to go after Bayer for falsifying safety data? Apparently those who make the final decisions at the EPA have no actual interest in the truth and would rather cater to corporate interests at the expense of public health.

The attack of the killer bagel...

Is this what we have become as a people? The policy of reporting so called "suspicious" activity is getting out of hand don't you think? They even arrested the guy. What's up with that?

Florida Professor Arrested for Having a "Suspicious" Bagel on a Plane

A Florida professor was arrested and removed from a plane Monday after his fellow passengers alerted crew members they thought he had a suspicious package in the overhead compartment.

That "suspicious package" turned out to be keys, a bagel with cream cheese and a hat.

Ognjen Milatovic, 35, was flying from Boston to Washington D.C. on US Airways when he was escorted off the plane for disorderly conduct following the incident.

Monday's incident is another example of other passengers essentially becoming the authority on terrorist activity on planes.

Recently, passenger complaints have resulted authorities taking action against innocent passengers who went to the bathroom too often on a flight and who were just being annoying.

In the hyper-sensitive world of flying, sneezing too often could get you kicked off a flight and questioned by the FBI.

Milatovic, who is a mathematics and statistics professor at the University of North Florida, was minding his business when other passengers turned into super sleuths.

Passengers reported hearing strange noises coming from a plastic bag. State police said later that the bag contained a set of keys,
a bagel with cream cheese, some other small food items, a hat and a wallet.

When confronted by the US Airways crew about his "suspicious package," Milatovic got on his cell phone. The crew asked him to hang it up and sit down. When he refused, he was cuffed.

Milatovic was also charged with interfering with the operation of an aircraft.

"It is common sense to be concerned when the animals around us start dying suddenly and in large numbers."

Why are the animals dying? Birds, fish wiped out in mysterious deaths

In the last week, nearly 100,000 fish washed up on the shores of the Arkansas River, dead. Also in Arkansas, thousands of red-winged blackbirds fell from the sky and plummeted to the ground where they were also found dead. The scene repeated itself in Southern Louisiana where 500 red-winged blackbirds recently plunged out of the sky, dead on arrival, and in Chesapeake Bay, thousands of dead fish have begun washing up onto bay shores.

It is common sense to be concerned when the animals around us start dying suddenly and in large numbers.

So far, scientists are dismissing these scenes as common phenomena. They say the fish in Arkansas were killed by "disease" and dismiss any possibility of chemicals being involved. The red-winged blackbirds, after autopsies were performed yesterday, appear to have been killed by "blunt trauma," but it's not clear whether that trauma was the act of slamming into the ground or if it was caused by something else beforehand.

Coincidence? Or is there another cause?
While there are many documented cases of birds (and even frogs) falling out of the sky throughout world history, the seeming coincidence of having thousands of birds fall out of the sky while, at the same time, 100,000 fish wash up as dead in the same geographic region demands greater scrutiny. What's happening in Arkansas that's killing these animals?

The question becomes even more important when you consider that other animal die-offs are occurring with alarming frequency across North America. Not only are honeybees dying off in record numbers, but now bats are being wiped out, too.

What's the root cause behind the mass die-offs?
Conventional scientists say it's all due to "disease," but they neglect to ask the obvious question: What makes these animals suddenly so susceptible to disease?

Because that answer may be a uncomfortable to the established industries that sell pesticides, or build cell phone towers, or grow genetically modified crops.

For all we know, these 100,000 dead fish are downstream from a field of GMO corn that mutated into something even more deadly than the GMOs we already know. This may not be so far-fetched, actually: Monsanto has a corporate office in Arkansas (in Stuttgart, Arkansas) that's not too many miles from the Arkansas River (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:A...).

This isn't proof of anything, of course, but the idea that a whole lot of birds and fish are suddenly dying near Monsanto's corporate offices should at least get intelligent people asking some serious questions...

The debasing of the dollar...

Worldwide Fiat Currency Race to Debase!

Take a moment to examine how gold and silver crushed their paper currency competition in 2010.

In US dollar terms gold was up 29.6% on the year. Beginning the year at $1097, gold showed a steady pace reaching $1421 to close out the year.

Silver absolutely dominated the field with a flurrying finish rounding out an 83% gain for the year. Amazing!

Silver lapped four fiat currencies of the more than 75 we tracked in 2010.

The white metal also threatened to lap seventeen other paper notes with above a 90% appreciation against such names as the euro, the Denmark kroner, and the Vietnamese dong... to name a few.

The Venezuelan bolivar was the ultimate loser against the price of gold and silver with much of this due to the country's double currency devaluation within a year's time! It seems dollars are hard to find in Venezuela and they are currently fetching upwards of 8 bolivar per dollar in the black market (almost twice the official rate of 4.3 bolivars per dollar).

So what happens when the dollar begins to have its upcoming currency crisis? If the reserve currency of the world suffers devaulations, what then is the world's monetary flight to safety?

That's right, 5000 years running, gold and silver have been mankind's ultimate money and safe haven. 2010 was no exception to this rule...

"So conservatively speaking, the Federal Reserve will directly finance no less than 60.51% of the U.S. Federal government’s deficit for fiscal year 2011."

Is the Federal Reserve Really Purchasing Over 60% of 2011’s Fiscal Deficit? In a Word, uh . . . Yeah.

...So conservatively speaking, the Federal Reserve will directly finance no less than 60.51% of the U.S. Federal government’s deficit for fiscal year 2011. That figure might be as high as 67.09%, depending on the size of QE-lite.

These are the official numbers—as promised, none of these are dodgy numbers from the disreputable sources ax-grinders like to use. These numbers are straight from the horse’s mouth: The White House, and the Federal Reserve...

...With a single market participant buying up at minimum 60% of new issuance, the conclusion is obvious: The Treasury bond market is Bernanke’s bitch. His pimp hand is all over that ho’—and she be doin’ whatever Benny the Pimp wants her to do, as often as he wants her to do it.

Therefore, since Treasury bond yields during FY 2011 will be whatever the Fed wants them to be, they are no longer a reliable indicator of anything.

Quite the contrary, the bond markets will mask problems of the underlying economy until they are insurmountable.

This shouldn’t be a controversial observation: A single market participant that is purchasing 60% or more of a market owns that market. So anything that that market ordinarily signaled—be it risk, instability, whatever—is now no longer the case. The only thing that market will reflect is whatever fixed idea the Market Pimp will want it to reflect.

Therefore, since any problem that the Treasury bond market might ordinarily reflect will be masked until the very last minute, watching that market for signs of the health of the wider economy will only distract from what is actually happening in the wider economy.

Succinct Conclusion

The Treasury bond market is like a concrete highway over a sinkhole: You won’t realize anything is amiss, until the road suddenly disappears.

"He spearheaded the drive to pass the North American Free Trade Agreement, much favored by big business, and went on to a top-level career as a corporate executive, first at SBC Communications, then at JPMorgan Chase."

Wall Street reinforcements for Obama White House
by Patrick Martin

President Obama concluded his Hawaii vacation Tuesday and flew back to Washington, amid press reports that he would soon announce the addition of several prominent figures drawn from the financial industry to his White House staff.

The media speculation focused on William Daley, brother of the retiring mayor of Chicago, former Clinton administration commerce secretary, and currently a vice chairman at JP Morgan Chase, one of the top five US banks. Bloomberg News and the New York Times both reported that Daley was under consideration for White House chief of staff, as the permanent replacement for Rahm Emanuel, who resigned in September to run for mayor of Chicago.

The chief of staff position has been filled on an interim basis by Pete Rouse, a long-time Senate aide who joined the White House when Obama took office. Rouse is heading an effort to reorganize the White House staff, including selecting a permanent replacement for Emanuel, and could himself be chosen for that post.

The selection of Daley, which press reports described as “not imminent,” would be the clearest signal yet of the Obama administration’s shift to the right in the wake of the Republican victory in the 2010 congressional elections.

Daley was one of the most right-wing figures in the Clinton administration, at least on domestic and economic issues. He spearheaded the drive to pass the North American Free Trade Agreement, much favored by big business, and went on to a top-level career as a corporate executive, first at SBC Communications, then at JPMorgan Chase. He has served on numerous corporate boards, including at Boeing and Abbott Laboratories.

In the internal politics of the Democratic Party, Daley stood on the right, opposing any serious effort to fight the theft of the 2000 presidential election, when he was Gore’s campaign chairman. In an interview last year with the New York Times, he criticized congressional Democrats and the White House, saying they had overreached and attempted policies that were too liberal. “The election of ’08 sent a message that after 30 years of center-right governing, we had moved to center left,” he said, “not left.”

America's decaying infrastructure...

Everything Is Falling Apart: 20 Facts That You Will Not Want To Read If You Still Want To Feel Good About America’s Decaying Infrastructure

This first set of facts about America's decaying infrastructure was compiled from a fact sheet entitled "The Case For U.S. Infrastructure Investment" by an organization called Building America's Future....

#1 One-third of America's major roads are in poor or mediocre condition.

#2 Traffic on more than half the miles of interstate highway exceeds 70 percent of capacity, and nearly 25 percent of the miles are strained at more than 95 percent of capacity.

#3 Americans waste 4.2 billion hours and 2.8 billion gallons fuel a year sitting in traffic – equal to nearly one full work week and three weeks’ worth of gas for every traveler.

#4 Over the next 30 years, our nation is expected to grow by 100 million and highway traffic will double again. Even if highway capacity grows no faster than in the last 25 years, Americans can expect to spend 160 hours – 4 work weeks – each year in traffic by 2035.

#5 Nearly a third of all highway fatalities are due to substandard road conditions, obsolete road designs, or roadside hazards.

#6 Over 4,095 dams are "unsafe" and have deficiencies that leave them more susceptible to failure, especially during large flood events or earthquakes.

#7 Rolling blackouts and inefficiencies in the U.S. electrical grid cost an estimated $80 billion a year.

#8 By 2020, every major U.S. container port is projected to at least double the volume of cargo it was designed to handle. Some East Coast ports will triple in volume, and some West Coast ports will quadruple.

#9 Other countries are leapfrogging past us by investing in world-class ports. China is investing $6.9 billion; the port of Shanghai now has almost as much container capacity as all U.S. ports combined.

#10 By 2020, China plans to build 55,000 miles of highways, more than the total length of the U.S. interstate system.

New research: post-9/11 architecture of fear turns cities into police state zones

Almost a decade after the 9/11 attacks on the U.S., significant downtown areas in some of this country's most prominent cities remain largely sealed off with metal gates and barriers. The explanation is that these urban areas allegedly need "security zones" to protect the populace from terrorist attacks. But a new study just published in the journal Environment and Planning A concludes this "architecture of fear" has done nothing but blight the landscape, limit public access and may promote paranoia.

"Our most open, public cities are becoming police states," study author Jeremy Nemeth, a University of Colorado Denver assistant professor of planning and design, said in a statement to the press. "While a certain amount of security is necessary after terror attacks, no amount of anti-terror architecture would have stopped the 9/11 attacks, or the Madrid or London subway bombings. And by limiting access and closing off space, we limit the potential for more 'eyes on the street' to catch possible acts in the process."

"...the U.S. government is borrowing approximately 2.63 million more dollars every single minute..."

The Debt Ceiling Debate Really Doesn’t Matter – Either Way U.S. Government Finances Are Going To Crash

Congratulations America, you are now 14 trillion dollars in debt. The U.S. national debt is now more than 14 times larger than it was just 30 short years ago. The federal government is literally drowning in debt. Now some members of Congress are actually debating whether we should raise the debt ceiling again. At the moment, the U.S. government debt ceiling is is set at $14.294 trillion, and considering the fact that the U.S. government is borrowing approximately 2.63 million more dollars every single minute, that cap will be reached very quickly. The U.S. Congress has raised the federal debt ceiling six times in just the past three years, so you would think that raising it again would not be that big of a deal for our debt-addicted politicians. But this past November a significant number of Tea Party candidates were elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, and they are eager to prove that they are serious about fiscal responsibility.

So exactly what is the debt ceiling? Well, it is an arbitrary limit on U.S. government debt that is set by the U.S. Congress. The original idea of the debt ceiling was that it would keep U.S. government debt from getting out of control, but obviously that has not happened. Whenever we have started getting close to the debt ceiling Congress has always raised it. It has been raised ten different times since 2001. Now it is time to raise it again, and if it does not get raised the U.S. government could actually start defaulting on its obligations.

"While globalists like Soros maintain that there are long term benefits to harmonization, including a better standard of living for everyone, in effect, harmonization only seems to make all countries equally poor."

Economic Consequences Of The “New World Order”
By Giordano Bruno

“Harmonization” is a very pleasant sounding term for a very insidious financial practice, and it is also something we will be hearing a lot about if the NWO design is allowed to continue. In order to understand what economic harmonization entails, one should research the mechanics and purpose behind monopolies. Monopolies are formed first and foremost to remove a very particular free-market factor; competition. Competition allows for the organic growth of markets by relying on the general populace to decide which business and financial models work best. Those models that do not pass the social test are ignored and allowed to die away, while those that pass are supported by the public and allowed to carry on. This natural order of commerce is supplanted when the largest suppliers (businesses or countries) form unions, fix prices, and squeeze out smaller entrepreneurs before they find an opportunity to present a superior idea or business model. By removing competition, monopolies take away the citizen’s ability to choose, or to even participate in the economy in any capacity beyond the role of mindless consumer.

Global harmonization works in a similar way, except in this case the monopoly is not over a specific product or resource, but the resources of entire continents. Competition among nations is squashed. As in the European Union, more successful countries are forced through unilateral trade agreements to transfer their wealth to faltering nations. Not only this, but the economic policies which once made them more competitive are scrapped and replaced with policies that deliberately stunt national growth. Decisions on what kind of commerce works best are no longer made by the citizenry, and are instead centralized into the hands of a select few. Any state that resists or strives for sovereignty is branded irresponsible, or even dangerous; a threat to the so called “balance”.

While globalists like Soros maintain that there are long term benefits to harmonization, including a better standard of living for everyone, in effect, harmonization only seems to make all countries equally poor.

IMF and World Bank lackeys love to bring up the plight of Africa when peddling harmonization and certainly African countries would benefit temporarily by siphoning capital from richer nations, but ultimately, it is the IMF, World Bank, and the UN that ravaged Africa in the first place with their loan sharking, resource theft, and attempts to interfere with African industrialization in the name of unsupported global warming arguments. (Hey, as soon as NASA or the Climate Research Unit in East Anglia makes the source data for their experiments available to the public instead of copping out and claiming national security privileges, I’m perfectly willing to give them a fair shake.) In the FT interview, Soros boasts about IMF allocations of SDR’s to needy African countries, as if they do it out of the kindness of their hearts. Anyone who has studied the history of the IMF knows that they do not do charity.

In the end, dirt poor nations might progress, but never enough to actually prosper, and all at the cost of finding themselves beholden to the IMF. This is the essence of the New World Order. This is the dark side that elitists never openly delve into; total centralization, total poverty, total control, no other options…

Get ready for some global freezing...

Bastardi: January Could be Coldest for U.S. since 1980s

Winter has only just begun, and many people across the country are already sick of the cold. On the heels of a record-cold December, frigid weather will continue seizing areas from coast to coast through mid- to late January.

Based on this forecast, AccuWeather.com Chief Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi says this month could turn out to be the coldest January for the nation as a whole since 1985.

While there has been outstanding regionalized cold in January in recent years, Bastardi points out that the U.S. has not experienced this type of coast-to-coast cold since the 1980s.

Record-smashing cold has already been gripping a large portion of the West since Jan. 1 with snow even falling in Las Vegas Monday. Bitter arctic air has also made a return to the northern Plains, while the East and South experienced a dramatic cooldown since the weekend.

Attempted cover-up in merry old England fails...

Met Office knew big freeze was coming but hushed it up

The Met Office warned ministers to expect an ‘exceptionally cold winter’ but then kept the prediction secret from the public.

The forecaster decided not to reveal the information because it was embarrassed after wrongly predicting a ‘barbecue summer’ in 2009, BBC analyst Roger Harrabin said.

Instead of a seasonal forecast, it offered only monthly snapshots.

The Madness Of A Lost Society 2: Final Warnings

More reason to buy silver, now...

Is the World’s Richest Man Getting Into Silver?

A source in mergers and acquisitions out of Europe has alerted King World News that Carlos Slim may be looking to enter the silver market in a big way. Gold and silver are in big bull markets and this is attracting the attention of some of the smartest money around the globe. James Turk commented, “If this deal does happen Eric, this is going to make the silver shorts choke.” Fresnillo has a current market cap of roughly $19 billion...

If this deal goes through, it’s going to cause a lot of people to take a look at the silver market. One thing that is certain is that a lot of smart money with billions to invest is looking at ways to get exposure to both gold and silver.”

As gold and silver continue to gain prominence in the financial world, it may be the biggest money in the world which is now wanting a stake. If Carlos does this deal as Turk said, it will make a great many investors around the globe take a look at the silver market.

"...this, in turn, has led to wider—and not unreasonable—fears that we are living in not merely a plutonomy, but a plutocracy, in which the rich display outsize political influence, narrowly self-interested motives, and a casual indifference to anyone outside their own rarefied economic bubble..."

The Rise of the New Global Elite
By Chrystia Freeland

If you happened to be watching NBC on the first Sunday morning in August last summer, you would have seen something curious. There, on the set of Meet the Press, the host, David Gregory, was interviewing a guest who made a forceful case that the U.S. economy had become “very distorted.” In the wake of the recession, this guest explained, high-income individuals, large banks, and major corporations had experienced a “significant recovery”; the rest of the economy, by contrast—including small businesses and “a very significant amount of the labor force”—was stuck and still struggling. What we were seeing, he argued, was not a single economy at all, but rather “fundamentally two separate types of economy,” increasingly distinct and divergent.

This diagnosis, though alarming, was hardly unique: drawing attention to the divide between the wealthy and everyone else has long been standard fare on the left. (The idea of “two Americas” was a central theme of John Edwards’s 2004 and 2008 presidential runs.) What made the argument striking in this instance was that it was being offered by none other than the former five-term Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan: iconic libertarian, preeminent defender of the free market, and (at least until recently) the nation’s foremost devotee of Ayn Rand. When the high priest of capitalism himself is declaring the growth in economic inequality a national crisis, something has gone very, very wrong.

This widening gap between the rich and non-rich has been evident for years. In a 2005 report to investors, for instance, three analysts at Citigroup advised that “the World is dividing into two blocs—the Plutonomy and the rest”:

In a plutonomy there is no such animal as “the U.S. consumer” or “the UK consumer”, or indeed the “Russian consumer”. There are rich consumers, few in number, but disproportionate in the gigantic slice of income and consumption they take. There are the rest, the “non-rich”, the multitudinous many, but only accounting for surprisingly small bites of the national pie.

Before the recession, it was relatively easy to ignore this concentration of wealth among an elite few. The wondrous inventions of the modern economy—Google, Amazon, the iPhone—broadly improved the lives of middle-class consumers, even as they made a tiny subset of entrepreneurs hugely wealthy. And the less-wondrous inventions—particularly the explosion of subprime credit—helped mask the rise of income inequality for many of those whose earnings were stagnant.

But the financial crisis and its long, dismal aftermath have changed all that. A multibillion-dollar bailout and Wall Street’s swift, subsequent reinstatement of gargantuan bonuses have inspired a narrative of parasitic bankers and other elites rigging the game for their own benefit. And this, in turn, has led to wider—and not unreasonable—fears that we are living in not merely a plutonomy, but a plutocracy, in which the rich display outsize political influence, narrowly self-interested motives, and a casual indifference to anyone outside their own rarefied economic bubble...

Taxpayers on the hook again thanks to the Dodd-Frank bill...

The Elite Now Have Unlimited FDIC Coverage for Deposits

A little known clause in the gigantic Dodd-Frank financial reform bill went into effect January 1st. All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012.

This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules...

Say what? It seems that the designers assume another financial crisis is looming and they want to make sure that the taxpayers will be on the hook for the potential billions in private bank losses.

Deja Vu all over again: Bread lines in America...

Food Emergency: Millions of Americans Are Heading to Foodbanks for the First Time in Their Lives
by Chaz Valenza

The good news is there's no reason anyone should ever starve to death in America. The bad news is more and more working Americans, many earning what were once middle class incomes, are spending their time and scarce money to find their next meal.

Emergency Food: More and More It's What's for Dinner

Val Traore, the radiant and gregarious CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ), wanted to make one thing perfectly clear in our discussion of hunger in America today. "We do not have starvation here in the United States. In Mali," she says, referring to the West African country where about half the population lives below the internationalpoverty lineof $1.25 a day, "if you live in poverty you risk starvation and death. That doesn't happen here in America." It's an important point worth dwelling on.

So what is happening here?

"We're seeing a large number of families that have never needed food assistance before," reports Traore. How many? So far, for 2010 FBSJ has witnessed a 10% increase in their client base of approximately 100,000 people. Here's the surprise: a large portion of the people needing food assistance today are working, and especially among FBSJ's new clients, many are earning incomes nearly twice the poverty line of $22,055 per year for a family of four (up to 185% of poverty).

Who are the hungry and why can't they afford to feed themselves and their families? Increasingly, the shocking answer is this: If you are not financially independent, the odds are good that someday you could be waiting in line to feed yourself and your family.

Food Lines: The Growing Reality Based Social Network

December 18, 2010 - Burlington County, NJ: Especially since the airing of television shows like "The Sopranos" and "Jersey Shore" most of the nation probably sees New Jersey as some cultural aberration. Perhaps it is. But, this is south Jersey and the landscape looks a lot like other semi-rural areas of the country.

On the drive from Philadelphia through Burlington County, a main highway cuts through farmland that includes several agricultural supply and farm equipment dealers. There are also strip malls, fast food franchises and diners offering breakfast for $2.99 and prime rib dinner specials as low as $10.99. If you were somehow transported here and I told you that you were in Ohio, you would have no reason not to believe me.

In Browns Mills, population 11,257, a tractor trailer painted as the "Hope Mobile" carrying about 28,000 pounds of food is being unloaded at the local United Methodist Church. People are lined up outside, but most of the line has been moved inside on this frigid morning. The church pastor has allowed the use of the facility's assembly room and adjacent corridor to bring members of some 600 pre-qualified, pre-registered families in from the cold.

Depression soup lines have nothing on this sucker. The first in line sit along the hundred foot length of the assembly room where a beautifully lighted Christmas tree glows. The line extends out the door and down one side of a hundred foot corridor and then loops back on itself down the opposite wall. At the end of the line, another 30 feet or so, people will brave the weather for an hour or two until things get moving. Over 20,000 pounds of food will be provided to the crowd here, the remaining 7,000 pounds will go to a second event later in the day in Camden, NJ.

This is a pile of a trillion dollars. We owe over 14 trillion...

or this made up of 100 dollar bills...

Federal Debt Tops $14 Trillion, U.S. Treasury Reports

The national debt has risen by $1 trillion since June, reaching a new high of more than $14 trillion, the U.S. Treasury reported on its website Monday. The new high was reached on Friday.

To be precise, the amount of money the government owes is $14,025,215,218,708.52, according to the Treasury website. And that figure is growing ever closer to the debt limit of $14.294 trillion set by Congress.

If Congress does not vote to raise the debt limit, the U.S. government could be in danger of shutting down or defaulting on its obligations. But passing an increase in the limit may be difficult, with Republican and tea party candidates having won office based on vows of fiscal responsibility.

This calls for a song of the day as well: Jeff Tweedy; New Madrid...

Is The New Madrid Fault Earthquake Zone Coming To Life?
What in the world is happening in the middle of the United States right now? Thousands of birds are falling dead from the skies, tens of thousands of fish are washing up on shore dead, earthquakes are popping up in weird and unexpected places and people are starting to get really freaked out about all of this. Well, one theory is that the New Madrid fault zone is coming to life. The New Madrid fault zone is six times bigger than the San Andreas fault zone in California and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. The biggest earthquakes in the history of the United States were caused by the New Madrid fault. Now there are fears that the New Madrid fault zone could be coming to life again, and if a "killer earthquake" does strike it could change all of our lives forever.

Economic war being carried out against the United States by the global elite...

Economic War

Companies are shutting down operations in the United States and are opening up facilities in other nations where the labor is much cheaper, where regulations are not nearly as suffocating and where taxes are much lower. However, once these other nations learn the technology and are able to set up "domestic competitors", the original companies are learning that maybe it wasn't such a sweet deal they were being offered after all.

As the U.S. is being stripped of industry and is being deindustrialized, the American middle class is being absolutely devastated. Since the year 2000, we have lost 10% of our middle class jobs. In the year 2000 there were about 72 million middle class jobs in the United States but today there are only about 65 million middle class jobs. Sadly, the millions of jobs that have been sent overseas are never coming back.

Meanwhile, our national wealth is being drained from our bank accounts. Back in 1985, the U.S. trade deficit with one particular Asian nation was just 6 million dollars for the entire year. But for this past August alone, the trade deficit with that same nation was over 28 billion (that's billion with a "b") dollars.

In other words, the U.S. trade deficit with that one Asian nation in August was more than 4,600 times larger than the U.S. trade deficit with that Asian nation was for the entire year of 1985.

So how are we maintaining our high standard of living if we are shipping all of our wealth overseas?

Well, what we are doing is going back to all those nations where we have sent our wealth and we are begging them to loan it back to us.

Our federal government now owes trillions of dollars to major exporting nations. Our state governments also owe insane amounts of money to major exporting nations. We are in debt up to our eyeballs and it gets worse every single year.

Meanwhile, our national economic infrastructure is being absolutely ripped to shreds....

*Back in 1970, 25 percent of all jobs in the United States were manufacturing jobs. Today, only 9 percent of the jobs in the United States are manufacturing jobs.

*The United States has lost a staggering 32 percent of its manufacturing jobs since the year 2000.

*Since 2001, over 42,000 U.S. factories have closed down for good.

*As of the end of 2009, less than 12 million Americans worked in manufacturing. The last time that less than 12 million Americans were employed in manufacturing was in 1941.

*Manufacturing employment in the U.S. computer industry was actually lower in 2010 than it was in 1975.

The sad truth is that the U.S. is being dominated even in very high-tech industries. The major exporting nations are becoming rich by creating wealth and we are becoming poor by voraciously consuming wealth.

Unfortunately, some of the major exporting nations that we have a massively imbalanced trade relationship with are doing this to us on purpose. They see our weakness and the are taking advantage of it. They believe that it is in their own national interests to make the United States weaker.

Sadly, a very significant percentage of those that will read this article will not believe it. Most Americans have been so brainwashed when it comes to trade that they could never even conceive that it could possibly be used as a weapon of economic war.

But the truth is that there are even many prominent Americans that openly talk of weakening the U.S. economy and of reducing the standard of living of the U.S. middle class so that we can be more easily merged into the emerging global economic system.

It is time to wake up. The United States is under economic attack.

More jobs are going to leave the United States this month. More factories are going to leave the United States this month. Tens of billions more dollars of our national wealth is going to be transferred out of the country this month. Our federal, state and local governments are all going to go into more debt to foreigners this month.

Month after month after month this goes on. It is being done by design.

Perhaps when the entire U.S. financial system collapses the American people will finally begin to understand. The truth is that the greatest threats to our national security are not some impoverished goat herders hiding out in caves in Afghanistan. Rather, the cold, hard reality of the situation is that our national economic infrastructure is being ripped apart and stolen right in front of our eyes and we have become so dumbed-down that we don't even understand what is happening.

If you want to see "the future of America", just tour some of the formerly great industrial centers of the upper Midwest some time. Ask yourself why "the greatest economy on earth" has so many abandoned factories and boarded-up homes. There are many decaying communities across America right now that are so depressing that the moment you enter them you get the sense that all of the hope has been sucked right out of them.

The U.S. economy is under attack and it is dying. We are being looted and pillaged from coast to coast. This is really happening.

So what do you think about all of this? Please feel free to leave a comment with your opinion below....
