Britain was plunged into the worst spring freeze in more than 25 years yesterday, as blizzards swept the country.
Up to four of inches of snow fell and the wind chill drove temperatures down to minus 12C (10F).
Forecasters said it was on track to be the coldest March day since 1986. But snow, sleet and hail are expected again today, with the South East worst affected...
