Updated: We don't need no freakin government...

Yeah, I know it's bad grammar...

UPDATE:
Twenty four hours after the big dig, the City of Milford still has not plowed the two streets that connect us to New Haven Ave. I traveled around town for over an hour today and did not see one city plow either at a diner or actually plowing. Streets are a mess and school has been cancelled until Thursday. Yet, we keep getting phone messages from the city about how many miles of road they have plowed. I'd be interested in how many miles they haven't plowed. Wait until the wet snow freezes tonight and the next storm hits Tuesday.

Neighborhood takes control of bad situation and plows itself out of blizzard as local government fails

Posted by Wallyworld

Yes, there is hope for America yet. Rather than wait for the City of Milford Connecticut to plow their streets, after waiting two days following the blizzard of "13" and not seeing one single plow attempt to create a path for residents in case of an emergency, the residents of Shadows End Lane and Settlers Ridge Road got off their asses and did it themselves. Pulling together with snow shovels and snow-blowers the neighbors of this section of Milford, Ct. dug themselves out of three feet of snow and connected a part of their neighborhood to the closest major roadway, a good half mile away, all without the government's help. After knocking on a few doors and after some friendly persuasion over thirty people including adults and kids, dug in and freed themselves from government dependency and demonstrated that individualism which once made our nation great, is still alive and well, despite the government's best efforts to destroy it. A fun time was had by all especially after the work was done. Here are some photos of the great work done by all...
