The evil-doer is dead. Shouldn't the war on terror come to an end?
Random Thoughts
Don't bet on it...
Now that the evil-doer is dead, shouldn't the war on terror be declared over? Shouldn't the troops be pulled out of Afghanistan? Shouldn't the drone attacks on Pakistan, where Bin Laden supposedly was hiding, be stopped? Shouldn't our troops be removed from Iraq? Shouldn't the Patriot Act now be repealed and our liberties that Bin Laden hated us so much for, be restored in all their glory? Shouldn't the illegal pat downs and full body scans at our airports be curtailed? Shouldn't we now use all those trillions of dollars that we no longer need to fight the war on terror be put to use to help the people who are the victims of our economic collapse here at home? Shouldn't the move in Congress to create a kill switch for the internet in case of terror attacks be scuttled?
You can bet the answers to these questions will be a resounding NO!! by our great political leaders. They will now claim we are even more in danger than we were before. They will say we need more restrictions on our liberties and enhanced security precautions at our airports and train stations. They will claim they need more money to maintain the fight against the new forces of terror Bin Laden's killing has created. Do you think they will declare "Mission Accomplished" again? Absolutely not.
Get ready for more war, more fear mongering and more restrictions on our liberty as the lied to and the mis-informed people of the United States willfully aquiesce to the government's claim of new enemies that will be worse than the one we just supposedly killed.
This is not time to celebrate. This is the time to increase your vigilance and to prepare for the next phase of their nefarious plan. Time will tell. But remember these words of wisdom from another time of big lies...
