9/11 and the fake war on terror create massive profits, crush dissent
By Craig McKee
Myth: War is something that we in the West don’t want, but to which we must resort at times to ensure our security and protect democracy.
Reality: War is a regular tactic of the criminal elite that truly runs our society that allows them to steal resources from poor countries, make billions of dollars for themselves and their super rich friends, and keep all of us afraid, distracted, and compliant.
And it works. Over and over. These guys are good at what they do.
Instability, disunity, and disempowerment are the results. We cling to the illusion of democracy, but with the corporate media in the elite’s back pocket, it is very difficult for us to learn the truth. It can be done, but it takes work.
And the one remaining medium for the free, uncensored exchange of ideas is in serious danger of being snuffed out. The Internet is no longer free, and is under increasing attack. The justification is security once again. The entirely fake war on terror is being used to make us think that tighter government (and by extension, corporate) control of the Net is necessary to keep us safe.
Barack Obama wants an Internet ID number for Internet users nationwide. Senator Joe Liebermann wants the government to have the same “emergency” powers China has to seize control of the Net whenever it suits them. Homeland Security shuts down web sites without warrants, and in Canada, Stephen Harper is following suit. The Canadian parliament introduced legislation last year to give police the right to force Internet providers to turn over personal information of users without warrants.
The elites don’t like the fact that people can tell the truth about what they’re up to. They want to con us into believing that tighter controls are necessary – just like they conned us into thinking that the war on terror was real.
So how do governments get us to support these wars? They do it through deception and misdirection. They’re many steps ahead of us. They condition us to marginalize and ridicule those who challenge their “war on terror” propaganda. We internalize these biases, and do what we’re told without even realizing it. All anyone has to do is call someone a conspiracy theorist and there’s no need to confront the substance of what they’re saying.
The greatest single act of deception carried by the American Empire was the fake attacks staged on Sept. 11, 2001. These attacks were planned and carried out by a criminal element within the U.S. government and possibly other governments. The evidence is overwhelming, if we open our minds long enough to see it.
The result of this mammoth false-flag operation has been disaster. Thousands died in the attacks. Hundreds more have died from breathing the poisonous air at Ground Zero. With the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, we’ve had hundreds of thousands of deaths, hundreds of billions of dollars spent, an intelligence apparatus that is growing out of control (and which acts in its own interests and those of the elites, not ours). Imagine if that money were spent on hospitals, schools, and the environment…
There’s nothing that makes me sicker than the thought of poor and middle-class men and women going to fight and maybe die in wars that are waged to protect profits and exploit the poor. They don’t force us to accept war, they use wildly exaggerated or completely fabricated threats to make us think we want war. We accept the propaganda so thoroughly that we’re ready to die in these wars.
And if we do nothing, it’ll keep happening. Another “terrorist” act will occur that will further terrify us into surrendering more freedoms and supporting more military action. The act might involve a nuclear device this time, or it may involve a biological weapon. But the ante will be raised. The media will back up the government, and a small minority will point to evidence that the official story doesn’t hold up.
Many will ignore the dissenters, swallow the lies, and go on with their lives. But some will begin to see the pattern of deceit and join the growing movement. Whether they’re convinced or just beginning to question, it will be a start.
