JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters

Podcast with James Douglass, author of the above entitled book, about the JFK assassination. It is the most researched book about the role the power elite played in his killing. It deals more about the reasons why he was killed than a rehash of the events of that fatal day in November 1963. JFK had changed his thinking on many issues including Cuba, the Soviet Union, Vietnam and nuclear weaponry. He had turned toward peace. This book vividly demonstrates the way JFK, who was taking on the military-industrial complex, was isolated and eventually eliminated by those who had a great interest in maintaining the status-quo. If you are going to read a book about this most important turning point in recent American history this is the one. It helps one understand where we are today as a nation.
